About Sheila
This has been a slow process of discovering what is really important to me in my life. The sea, the animals and spirituality. As an avid diver for over 30 years and an underwater photographer I know this is where I want to be. Behind the camera, interpreting and sharing the richness and beauty of 70% of this planet most people will never see. Join me on my journey...

Having spent most of my life in a successful finance career I found it was missing something. I had the opportunity on a vacation in Jamaica to reconfirm my love of diving and continued training to certify as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and SSI free diver. I didn't stop there, I started taking pictures - awful pictures at first with a couple different point and shoots with internal flash - too far away from my subject and not even understanding the concept of white balance. Thankfully I had several friends who gave of their time and patience to teach me the basics and that coupled with hours of trial and error I am enormously grateful for where I am today.
I specialize in underwater photography and particularly love my wide angle. The last three years I have focused on portraits of free divers. A side of UW photography often ignored. Macro still steals my heart though and out comes my 100mm macro lens when I spot the nearest little critter, a newly undiscovered species I have never seen before. When not in the water, topside photography is where I play. Believe me I am learning something new every time I pick up the camera!
I am a licensed Hatha Yoga Instructor and particularly love the idea of yoga dance, mine being defined as a combination of hatha flow and Caribbean based rhythm.
I am traveling the world whenever and where ever I can and now see my path finally leaving the four walls of the office behind and pursuing full time my diving, photography and yoga. My life's blood. These are my passions which I gladly share with those I meet along the way. It has been a great ride so far and I hope you stay with me. It is getting better every day.
